È l'ultimo appuntamento prima del Campionato italiano e le strade sono quelle della regione nella quale, quest'anno, si assegneranno le maglie tricolori. Il 16 e 17 giugno il Trentino si tinge di rosa per la 19° edizione del Giro del Trentino femminile. Una corsa che è una delle gare più importanti della stagione e che, stavolta, acquisisce ancora maggiore significato data l'immediatezza dei campionati italiani che, per la categoria Donne Elite, sono in programma mercoledì 20 (prova in linea) e domenica 24 giugno (crono). Il Giro del Trentino sarà quindi una sorta di prova generale, per saggiare la condizione e valutare le più accreditate pretendenti al tricolore. Il pensiero, quindi, non potrà non essere proiettato in avanti, alla successiva Settimana Tricolore, ma questo non significa certo minor impegno nel Giro, come conferma il Direttore Sportivo della MCipollini - Giambenini - Gauss Luisiana Pegoraro: “Torniamo alle corse dopo quasi un mese, un mese durante il quale le ragazze si sono allenate duramente. Ci siamo ritrovate tutte insieme domenica per la Granfondo Eddy Merckx e le sensazioni che abbiamo avuto sono state buone. Certo, non era una gara, ma era comunque un bel percorso. Il Trentino, contrariamente a quanto si possa pensare, non è una corsa con un tracciato appannaggio solo delle scalatrici. Noi cercheremo, come sempre, di essere protagoniste e di chiudere con buone posizioni in classifica”.
Le ragazze giallo – fluo al via saranno: Tatiana Guderzo, Marta Tagliaferro, Marta Bastianelli, Valentina Carretta, Susanna Zorzi e Malgorzata Jasinska. La corsa prevede tre tappe in due giorni. Si apre sabato 16 giugno, alle 14.00, con i 99km della Trento – Mezzolombardo, poi domenica 17 due semitappe: al mattino la Mattarello – Termon (62,8 km), al pomeriggio una novità assoluta, la crono individuale sulla pista ciclabile dell'Alta Val di Non, Romeno – Sarnonico (5 km).

Saturday 16th and Sunday 17th June, the last race before the Italian Championship.
It is the last race before the Italian Championship and the streets are those of the region in which, this year, the tricolour jerseys will be assigned. On 16th and 17th June, Trentino becomes pink for the 19th edition of Giro del Trentino women. A race that is one of the biggest races of the season and, this time, acquires even greater significance given the immediacy of the Italian championships that, for the category Women Elite are scheduled for Wednesday 20th (road race) and Sunday, June 24th (time trial ). Giro del Trentino will be a test to evaluate the conditions of the most important contenders for the tricolor jerseys. The thought, therefore, can not fail to be projected forward to next appointment with italian Championship, but this does not mean less commitment to the Tour, as confirmed by the Sportive Director of MCipollini - Giambenini - Gauss Luisiana Pegoraro: "Let's go back to racing after nearly a month , a month during which the girls have trained hard. Last Sunday we partecipeted in Granfondo Eddy Merckx and we had good sensations. It was not a race, but it was a good training. The Trentino, contrary to what one might think, has not a race track particullary suited for climbers. We will try, as always, to be protagonists".
The yellow- fluo at the start will be: Tatiana Guderzo, Marta Tagliaferro, Marta Bastianelli, Valentina Carretta, Susanna Zorzi and Malgorzata Jasinska. The race consists of three stages in two days. It opens Saturday, June 16th, at 2pm, with 99km of Trento - Mezzolombardo, then on Sunday 17th two semi-stages: in the morning Mattarello - Termon (62.8 Kilometres), then, in the afternoon, an absolute novelty, the individual time trial on the bike path of Alta Val di Non, Romeno - Sarnonico (5 kilometres).
